Never mind failures; they are quite natural, they are the beauty of life, these failures. What would life be without them? It would not be worth having if it were not for struggles. Where would be the poetry of life? Never mind the struggles, the mistakes. I never heard a cow tell a lie, but it is only a cow-never a man. So never mind these failures, these little backslidings; hold the ideal a thousand times, and if you fail a thousand times, make the attempt once more.
Swami VivekanandaWe have to keep the body in good health; we have to take care of what we eat and drink, and what we do.
Swami VivekanandaThe book is all in us. Fool, hearest not thou? In thine own heart day and night is singing that Eternal Music - Sachchidรขnanda, soham, soham - Existence-Knowledge-Bliss Absolute, I am He, I am He.
Swami VivekanandaTo many, Indian thought, Indian manners; Indian customs, Indian philosophy, Indian literature are repulsive at the first sight; but let them persevere, let them read, let them become familiar with the great principles underlying these ideas, and it is ninety-nine to one that the charm will come over them, and fascination will be the result. Slow and silent, as the gentle dew that falls in the morning, unseen and unheard yet producing a most tremendous result, has been the work of the calm, patient, all-suffering spiritual race upon the world of thought.
