The fire that warms us can also consume us; it is not the fault of the fire.

The Vedanta teaches men to have faith in themselves first. Not believing in the glory of our own soul is what the Vedanta calls atheism.

Think day and night, I am of the essence of that Supreme Existence, Knowledge, Bliss-what fear and anxiety have I? This body, mind, and intellect are all transient, and That which is beyond these is myself.

The remedy for weakness is not brooding over weakness, but thinking of strength.

All misery and pain come from attachment.

You must have an iron will, if you would cross the ocean. You must be strong enough to pierce mountains.
