You want them to hang out and act properly and, you know, when the monkeys will come and ask for the bananas, they won't act like monkeys. If you want them to act on what their true nature is, you've got to leave them alone.

I've been an atheist since I was nine years old. And my mom is really religious, so we have a strange relationship. But if my mother was right, what would be the reason that the gods could let anything bad happen in the world?

I'm living the life that I wanted to live and I'm loving every little thing that I do. Fortunately, I have had a very, very charmed life. Wherever I've been, that's what I wanted to be doing, right then.

If I had to control what I was speaking, it would be a chore. Right now I just feel I've got my shoes off, everybody comes in, I talk. If I was an actor it could be a problem, but right now I just talk all the crap, I can badmouth anybody I want, I can say what I want and move on.

I'm very rarely interested in genres. As long as I feel I can put my DNA out there in the ideology, it works for me.
