Once I got to an age where I was old enough to make my own decisions, I quit everything and did what I actually wanted to do, which was start a band.

I paint and I sculpt and I enjoy doing things that aren't for the public. There's no pressure to it, it's just something that's a cleansing of the mind.

There's a lot of things in my past that wouldn't have necessarily been my choices but at the same time, going back in time and changing something, I wouldn't want to do that because I like where I came out.

You can't be a band and not play, and playing is so invigorating. It breathes life into you. So does creating something out of nothing.

I've been writing songs since I was a wee child.

I don't believe there's a hole in the ground with demons in it but I could be wrong. Hell is all around us - it's the way we treat each other and the way we treat the Earth. We already live in it.

I didn't watch a lot of TV growing up; I watched more films.
