If people ask me about it, I think it would be great for me to be like, 'Look, [Kanye West] called me and told me the line before it came out. Like, joke's on you guys, we're fine'.

You have to able to make fun of yourself. Don't take things too seriously and when people make fun of you, laugh at it.

My friends tease me about the fact that if someone seems bad or shady or like they have a secret, I find them incredibly interesting.

I've never wanted to use my age as a gimmick, as something that would get me ahead of other people. I've wanted the music to do that.

This is a new year. A new beginning. And things will change.

I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off. It's not an urge I have. For me, 'risky' is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off.

Say it to them. Or say it to yourself in the mirror. Say it in a letter you'll never send or in a book millions might read someday. I think you deserve to look back on your life without a chorus of resounding voices saying 'I could've, but it's too late now.'
