Every single one of us has a few months here or there that feel like dark months.

I feel the emotion that life conjures up and the songs I write get me closer to my feelings and realising who I am. It's a natural process.

You have people come into your life shockingly and surprisingly. You have losses that you never thought you'd experience. You have rejection and you have learn how to deal with that and how to get up the next day and go on with it.

You can't lead me down that rode.

I think love is one of those things that it's only really bad because it was once good. You can't miss something that was never amazing. So, what I've learned is that even if it ends badly, it's worth it if it made you feel something, if it taught you something.

We don’t just live in a celebrity take-down culture; we live in a take-down culture. People will find anything about you and twist it to where it’s weird or wrong or annoying or strange or bad. You have to live your life not only in spite of people who don’t understand you - you have to have more fun than they do.

Be grateful more than anything in your life. If you have to put a priority on something, put a priority on what your thankful for and the people in your life that you're grateful for.
