Don’t worry. You may think you’ll never get over it. But you also thought it would last forever.

I love being a part of the country-music community.

For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated - a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way - that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.

And if you're horrible to me I'm going to write a song about you and you are not going to like it. That's how I operate.

Sophistication isn't what you wear or who you know, or pushing people down to get you where you want to go... soon your gonna find stealing other people toys on the playground won't make you many friends.

We don't wish for the easy stuff. We wish for big things. Things that are ambitious, out of reach.

I think there's something so attractive about mystery.
