When I was 8 years old, it mattered what my favorite singer said and wore and expressed opinions about. And if I have a chance to matter to the growth and hopes and wishes of little girls, that's something I can't take lightly. So I do factor them in when I'm thinking about what to wear, and what to say, and whether or not to go out to bars even thought I'm not twenty-one.

Words can break someone into a million pieces, but they can also put them back together

I don't seem to have any real strategy or pattern when it comes to love... At times I've been really guarded and careful and afraid to trust someone. But other times, you want to jump in headfirst. I've had moments of thinking, this is who I love and I don't care what anyone says. Those moments are beautiful and wild and exciting, but I've learned that those moments can end up hurting you in the end. I've been careful in love. I've been careless in love. And I've had adventures I wouldn't trade for anything.

I definitely know that there's somebody looking out for me, because I could never do this alone.

At some point, you grow out of being attracted to that flame that burns you over and over and over again.

Happiness isn't a constant. You get fleeting glimpses. You have to fight for those moments, but they make it all worth it.

Music is art, and art is important and rare. Important, rare things are valuable. Valuable things should be paid for.
