When you are doubting whether a thing is worth the trouble of going to see, recollect that you will never again be so near it. You may repent not having seen it, but you can never repent having seen it.

Nothing is troublesome that we do willingly.

Always take hold of things by the smooth handle.

When we come to the moral principles on which the government is to be administered, we come to what is proper for all conditions of society.
