It has been said that the gate of history turns on small hinges, and so do people's lives. The choices we make determine our destiny.

How much better the world would be if we all gave gifts of understanding, and compassion, of service, and friendship, of kindness and gentleness.

I have found that, rather than dwelling on the negative, if we will take a step back and consider the blessings in our lives, including seemingly small, sometimes overlooked blessings, we can find greater happiness.

By learning of Him, by believing in Him, by following Him, there is the capacity to become like Him.

Recent surveys of Church members have shown a serious erosion in the number of families who have a year's supply of life's necessities. Most members plan to do it. Too few have begun... It is our sacred duty to care for our families, including our extended families.

Though we may not necessarily forfeit our lives in service to our God, we can certainly demonstrate our love for Him by how well we serve Him.

Help others in their race of life. Remember that when you help another up a mountain, you are a little nearer the top yourself.
