As we move toward the future, we must not neglect the lessons of the past. Our Heavenly Father gave His Son. The Son of God gave His life. We are asked by Them to give our lives, as it were, in Their divine service. Will you? Will I? Will we? There are lessons to be taught, there are kind deeds to be done, there are souls to be saved.
Thomas S. MonsonMay you constantly nourish your testimonies of the gospel that they will be a protection to you against the buffetings of the adversary.
Thomas S. MonsonThe gospel of Jesus Christ is that penetrating light which shines through the darkness of our lives.
Thomas S. MonsonThe teacher not only shapes the expectations and ambitions of her pupils, but she also influences their attitudes toward their future and themselves. If she is unskilled, she leaves scars on the lives of youth, cuts deeply into their self-esteem, and distorts their image of themselves as human beings. But if she loves her students and has high expectations of them, their self-confidence will grow, their capabilities will develop, and their future will be assured.
Thomas S. MonsonWhether it is the best of times or the worst of times, He is with us. He has promised us that this will never change.
Thomas S. MonsonThere is no better time than now, this very Christmas season, for all of us to rededicate ourselves to the principles taught by Jesus Christ. It is the time to love the Lord, our God, with all our heart โ and our neighbors as ourselves. It is well to remember that he who gives money gives much; he who gives time gives more; but he who gives of himself gives all.
