I don't just want to be the best black player or the best Asian player. I want to be the best golfer ever.

In retrospect, golf for me was an apparent attempt to emulate the person I looked up to more than anyone: my father. He was instrumental in helping me develop the drive to achieve, but his role, as well as my mother's, was one of support and guidance, not interference.

When things go right and you test properly and you find equipment that's better than what you were playing, then you can do some pretty neat things on the golf course.

It's a never-ending struggle, which is great. You can always get better! You can never get there. It's a journey with no arrival. And that's the beauty of it -- that you can always become better the next day. It's pretty cool to think about it in that sense. Tomorrow I will be a better player than I was today.

The thing you don't dream about as a kid is all the peripheral stuff that comes with success.

I'm trying as hard as I possibly can each and every day to get my life better and better and stronger. And if I win championships along the way, so be it.

My dad was a big believer of having a golf club that fit me. Always have a golf club that fits you, so you don't have to make any swing compensations for that particular golf club.
