There is a direct relationship between a person's grasp and experience of God's grace, and his or her heart for justice and the poor.

Grace is humbling and restorative. It pulls you down because Christ had to die for you, but also lifts you up because he wanted to die for you.

Christ will do everything for you or nothing. He's either all of your righteousness or none.

The Gospel is this: You're more sinful, evil and weak than you'd ever believe. But you're more valued, accepted and loved than you dared hope.

The only love that won’t disappoint you is one that can’t change, that can’t be lost, that is not based on the ups and downs of life or of how well you live. It is something that not even death can take away from you. God’s love is the only thing like that.

Your feelings come from where you find your hope. Where is your happiness and your significance?

Prayer is a recognition of the greatness of our God.
