Slowly but surely, this newer understanding of the meaning of marriage has displaced the older ones in Western culture.

When people say, "I know God forgives me, but I can't forgive myself," they mean that they have failed an idol, whose approval is more important than God's.

If God exists then every good endeavor, even the simplest ones, pursued in response to God's calling can matter forever.
