Christmas is telling you that you could never get to heaven on your own. God had to come to you.

The gospel humbles us into the dust and at the very same time exalts us to the heavens.

Jesus is the author of faith, the provider of faith, and the object of faith.

If Christianity is really true it will be offending and correcting you somewhere.

If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all that he said; if he didn't rise from the dead, then why worry about any of what he said? The issue on which everything hangs is not whether or not you like his teaching but whether or not he rose from the dead.

Worry is not believing God will get it right, and bitterness is believing God got it wrong.

The world is a dark place, and yet the coming of Jesus Christ shows us no one and nothing is hopeless.
