Disobedience happens not when we think too much grace but when we think too little of it

The gospel doesn't make bad people good, it makes dead people alive.

We are not responsible for finding the right formula to combat or unlock our suffering.

We often read the Bible as if it were fundamentally about us: our improvement, our life, our triumph, our victory, our faith, our holiness, our godliness.

Unfortunately, some Christians are guilty of throwing out an equivalent sentiment when they play the "God is sovereign" card as a way to trump every evil that comes your way.

If you look at the gospel, it just doesn't break things apart. The gospel brings things together. One of the great demonstration of the gospel's power is reconciliation.

Thankfully, while our self-righteousness reaches far, God's grace reaches farther.
