I'm 23 years old. I might just be my mother's child, but in all reality, I'm everybody's child. Nobody raised me; I was raised in this society.

My life is in denial. And when I die, baptized in eternal fire, I'll shed many tears.

My music is not for everyone. It's only for the stong-willed, the [street] soldiers music. It's not like party music- I mean, you could gig to it, but it's spiritual. My musi is spiritual. It's like Negro spiituals, except for the fact that I'm not saying 'We shall Overcome.' I'm saying that we are overcome.

No matter what these people say about me, my music doesn't glorify any image. My music is spiritual when you listen to it. It's all about emotion, I tell my innermost, darkest secrets.

How many caskets can we witness before we see it's hard to live this life without God, so we must ask forgiveness.

I feel like Black Jesus got his hands on me and guides me through life to put me where I'm supposed to be.
