I grew up in the church, singing in choirs, and I went to a performing arts school, and I had a gospel group, so music has always been in my blood.

I wanted to be in my daughter's life, and I decided I didn't want to do music anymore because I was compromising myself too much and I wasn't loving what I was doing.

Don't let the clothes or anyone define you...just be yourself whether in a pair of jeans or a ball gown.

I enjoy just being around my family and my loved ones. It's just the simple things.

I'm just going to continue to do the music that I love.

I'm going to ride the wave.

The message I wanted to deliver to those battling with depression is to know that they are not the only ones, it is not easy, but you can come out of it and help someone else.
