I write songs. Then I record them. And later, maybe I perform them on stage. That's what I do. That's my job. Simple.

If you're with a good band and everybody's from the old school, it's different. When you're in your element, you're in your element and things just come. You don't have to drag them out or force them out. They just happen.

Everybody's got their own particular vision which is a personal thing.

You've got to separate the singer and the songs.

A famous person to themselves, they don't get up in the morning and think, I'm famous. I'm not famous to me. Famous is a perception.
