And when I was up there, the people were, like, "Oh, my God," and they were all screaming and stuff. But I didn't hear a thing. I was just in my own little bubble of horror and panic, utterly, utterly blanched with terror.

I never want to be winking at the audience and saying, "This character is really a nice guy."

You can fall into a trap, worrying too much about what the audience might think, rather than going from the inside out.
