Let God enlarge you when you are going through distress. He can do it. You can't do it, and others can't do it for you.

When it seems as if God is far away, remind yourself that He is near. Nearness is not a matter of geography. God is everywhere. Nearness is likeness. The more we become like the Lord, the nearer He is to us.

Heaven is more than a destination; it is a motivation. Knowing that we shall dwell in the heavenly city ought to make a difference in our lives here and now.

You do not move ahead by constantly looking in a rear view mirror. The past is a rudder to guide you, not an anchor to drag you. We must learn from the past but not live in the past.

The eyes see what the heart loves. If the heart loves God and is single in this devotion, then the eyes will see God whether others see Him or not

The world changes - circumstances change, we change - but God's Word never changes

Your heart grows by giving out, but your mind grows by taking in; and both are necessary to a happy and balanced life of service.
