Only by restoring the broken connections can we be healed. Connection is health.

We are far more concerned about the desecration of the flag than we are about the desecration of our land.

People talk about "job creation," as if that had ever been the aim the industrial economy. The aim was to replace people with machines.

But in its de facto alliance with Caesar, Christianity connives directly in the murder of Creation. For in these days, Caesar is no longer a mere destroyer of armies, cities, and nations. He is a contradicter of the fundamental miracle of life.

People are always talking about the first church. The real first church was that gaggle of people who followed Jesus around. We don't know anything about them. But he apparently didn't ask them what creed they subscribed to, or what their sexual preference was, or any of that. He fed them. He healed them. He forgave them. He is clear about sin, but he was also for forgiveness.

Reverence makes it possible to be whole, though ignorant. It is the wholeness of understanding.

Praise ignorance, for what man has not encountered he has not destroyed.
