You have to create something in a way that has direction, that it has vision, and then your partner will take it and figure out whatever their expertise is.

I think my general disposition on life is finding what's funny about it. When something happens, the first thing in my mind is, "What's funny about it?"

For me, the greater purpose of the story is just to illuminate some pattern of human truth.

And I just remember that day I made the shift from wanting to be a winner to wanting to have the most powerful, deep, and beautiful relationships I could possibly have.

There's so much negative imagery of black fatherhood. I've got tons of friends that are doing the right thing by their kids, and doing the right thing as a father - and how come that's not as newsworthy?
