The road to success is through commitment.

I honestly believe that if I decided to be the president of the United States, I could do it. That might sound foolish to some. But in my mind, if Ronald Reagan can become president, why not Will Smith?

I want to be the person that is the first person there and the last person to leave. That's who I want to be, because I think the road to success is through commitment, and through the strength to drive through that commitment when it gets hard. And it is going to get hard and you're going to want to quit sometimes, but it'll be colored by who you are, and more by who you want to be.

I believe you need to be educated about what you want to do in life, but I don't believe you actually need college to get you there.

My biggest emotional defeat and the greatest emotional pain I've had as an actor was when "Wild Wild West" opened up to $52 million. The movie wasn't good. And it hurt so bad to be the No. 1 movie - to open at $52 million - and to know the movie wasn't good.
