Everybody counts, everybody deserves a chance, everybody has a responsible role to play and we all do better when we work together.

Each generation of Americans must define what it means to be an American.

American and Israel share a special bond. Our relationship is unique among all nations. Like America, Israel is a strong democracy, a symbol of freedom, and an oasis of liberty, a home to the oppressed and persecuted.

Work organizes life. It gives structure and discipline to life.

I think if the White House or the President want to say anything about our conversations or anything I tried to do to help our country with their support or at their request, then I think they should be the ones to do that. But I think that former presidents should do that.

Sometimes when people are under stress, they hate to think, and it's the time when they most need to think.

As we have throughout this century, we will lead with the power of our example, but be prepared, when necessary, to make an example of our power.
