Speaking as a minister it is my strong feeling that no man has a right to preach to a crowd that he has not prayed for.

What I am anxious to see in Christian believers is a beautiful paradox. I want to see in them the joy of finding God while at the same time they are blessedly pursuing Him. I want to see in them the great joy of having God yet always wanting Him.

The Bible was written in tears, and to tears it yields its best treasures.

The great test of faith is to wait on God. . . not expecting to push a button and get whatever we want now.

An infinite God can give all of Himself to each of His children.

God expects us to measure the church not against tradition but against the standards & promises of His Word.

God will not hold us responsible to understand the mysteries of election, predestination, and the divine sovereignty. The best and safest way to deal with these truths is to raise our eyes to God and in deepest reverence say, "0 Lord, Thou knowest." Those things belong to the deep and mysterious Profound of God's omniscience. Prying into them may make theologians, but it will never make saints.
