So when we sing, 'Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,' we are not thinking of the nearness of place, but of the nearness of relationship. It is for increasing degrees of awareness that we pray, for a more perfect consciousness of the divine Presence. We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our own soul, closer than our most secret thoughts.

Repentance isn't only sorrow for past sins, it's also a determination to now do the will of God as He reveals it to us

Wherever we find Jesus is the perfect place to worship.

We modern Christians are long on talk and short on conduct.

The true Christian ideal is not to be happy but to be holy.

To desire revival...and at the same time to neglect(personal) prayer and devotion is to wish one way and walk another.

Is it ever possible to overdo the talking about the glory of Christ? Is it ever too often to be in God's presence?
