I started doing regional theater. My first job was "The Importance of Being Earnest" at Dallas Theater Center.

At my wedding, my bridesmaids said, "You're the funniest person we've ever met." I hope I make people laugh, I hope I make people feel comfortable. I like to go out and have a good time. I don't take myself too seriously. I never have. This is all one spinning granite planet, and I'm lucky I get to act and do what I love. Life is good. I'm not going to compete for attention. You find that a lot in Hollywood with actresses, where you're just like, "Just chill out.".

Well, I'm from the South originally. I grew up in South Carolina definitely learning about manners and being proper and having to go to cotillions.

I always like to be a step ahead of the audience by surprising them and the best way to do that is to not hold back.

Sometimes you just can't hear yourself. Maybe ears are too close to the mouth.

I think that the audience wants to see women being put into real situations where they can relate to them, rather than seeing some glamorous woman in a 'Bond' film.
