It doesn't matter what party you come from. The key thing is that you work on behalf of the people rather than on behalf of the party.

What's fascinating is, people in Washington would rather spend time in Hollywood, and people in Hollywood would rather spend time in Washington.

And you know something, because everything that I've gotten - my career, my money, my family; everything that I've gotten and achieved is because of California.

What is the point of being on this Earth if you are going to be like everyone else?

Look for small victories and build on that. Each small victory, even if it is just getting up five minutes earlier, gives you confidence. You realize that these little victories make you feel great, and you keep going. You realize that being paralyzed by fear of failure is worse than failure.

Learned helplessness is the giving-up reaction, the quitting response that follows from the belief that whatever you do doesn't matter.

Create a vision of who you want to be, and then live into that picture as if it were already true.
