I think romance is something that you don't clock or keep track of... you don't manage it in that way. It's something that happens in a moment. Usually, it's in a period of time when you put yourself in an uncomfortable position for the sake of somebody else.

I believe that opportunity looks a lot like hard work.

You think you know how much you can love another person, and then you have a child and you realize you didn't know. It's infinitely rewarding.

You know, photo conversations are replacing verbal conversations. I don't know if that's a bad thing. A photo is worth a thousand words.

It's really easy, once somebody passes away, for the tales about them to become taller, the good ones and the bad ones.

I didn't come from the worst of situations, and I didn't come into the best of situations. But I've appreciated the best situations. And I've made the best of the worst situations. I'm lucky to be where I am.

My mom was more into the yelling. She was the enforcer. She was the one that laid down the law. My dad made up the rules, but my mom laid down the law. It's not her words, it's her tone that sticks with me.
