The other thing is we have an incredible villain. And we worked very hard to have villains that are connected to the hero. They have an effect, an emotional effect. They never become out-of-this-world, crazy villains.

You can have a role in a movie that was originally something minor in terms of screen time, and all of a sudden we see something and go, wow, that's cool.

Everything you see that makes you think about the comics, I think you should read into it.

Listen, my day job is also Chief Creative Officer for Marvel, and it's a very painful job because we publish a lot of books, and there are things I see where I can punch people out. Therefore, we have some new people now, and the kids are going to read our books.

When you get to know me, I don't despair - I just get up, clean up, and start again.

When you choose a villain, you need something visually exciting. And when you have someone like Jamie Foxx... you want to make sure the guy with the mask and the guy without the mask are delivering two different performances.

No one bothered reading the books and understanding - and again, I'm not being high-falutin' about it - but I think our books are great literature with great metaphors of real life dealing with fears and hopes.
