I think that the Democratic Party is a big tent, which means that there are positions I may not agree with.

Instead of giving in to cynicism and division, let's move forward with the confidence and optimism and unity that define us as a people.

For decades, we've been told that it doesn't make economic sense to switch to renewable energy. Today, that's no longer true.

We still have sanctions on Iran for its violations of human rights, for its support of terrorism and for its ballistic missile program. And we will continue to enforce these sanctions vigorously. Iran's recent missile test, for example, was a violation of its international obligations.

We may have different backgrounds, but we believe in the same dream that says this is a country where anything's possible. No matter who you are. No matter where you come from.

These people are a part of me. And they are a part of America, this country that I love.

I find it amusing that those who helped to authorize and engineer the biggest foreign policy disaster in our generation are now criticizing me for making sure that we are on the right battlefield and not the wrong battlefield in the war against terrorism.
