At a time when the Post Office is losing substantial revenue from the instantaneous flow of information by email and on the Internet, slowing mail service is a recipe for disaster.

Politics in a democratic society should not be treated like a baseball game, a game show or a soap opera. The times are too serious for that.

This is America, and we are not going to throw out 11 million people in this country who are undocumented. I am proud of the campaign that we ran. Obviously, I wish we could have done a little bit better.

I would love it if everybody in America agreed with me on every issue. I can't get my wife to agree with me on every issue, let alone the American people. It's called democracy. That's what it's about.
