When I see my own people going through the tough times, it's a wake-up call. I hope my influence can impact someone else's decision to get out here and vote.

I think I'm just now startin' to get to the point where fans are startin' to respect my grind, and respect my lyrics and things that I'm gettin' into, and they see the hunger in me, and they know that I wanna become the best, and I'm just tryin' to prove myself. I feel like it would be a letdown if I stopped now.

Don't ever let anybody tell you that you can't, because you always can. To this day, I have people trying to discourage me, and telling me I should hang it up. I call them clowns.

A young man who came from Columbus, Ohio and made it, and who wants every other young man and young woman, black or white, to know that if I could do it, they could do it. Me and my fans grew up together, and I believe they know I'm a walking billboard and proof of that. That's what I see when I look in the mirror.

I'm pretty much happy with the things that have been handed to me already. Seven albums, eight arena tours ... I think there's nothing I really would look forward to besides winning a Grammy one day if that would happen.
