If we knew how much He loves us, we should be always ready to receive equally and with indifference from His hand the sweet and the bitter; all would please that came from Him.

Let us think often that our only business in this life is to please God. Perhaps all besides is but folly and vanity.

Loving God and loving one's neighbor are really the same thing.

We should put life in our faith. We should give ourselves utterly to God in pure abandonment, in temporal and spiritual matters alike, and find contentment in the doing of His will,whether he takes us through sufferings or consolations.
