Fashion is social commentary, but to me, it's the whimsy of it and how women and men use clothes to express themselves. It should be fun and when it stops being fun, that's when I put my jeans and my T-shirt on and then that's your uniform.

I don't see my skin aging. I see my skin looking as good, or better, than it did ten years ago...and that makes me smile.

But some people don't appreciate my bossiness.

Usually, your personality doesn't come out on the cover of Vogue. If the photographer says, "Smile," you smile. You might not be in a good mood that day, but you're smiling anyway.

But I try to steal other moments. Sometimes I get up very early in the morning and enjoy a quiet house and cup of tea before the craziness begins. Other times, I'll take a quick walk on the beach. You can find peace in a few minutes.

I'm actually happier with my body now . . . because the body I have now is the body I've worked for. I have a better relationship with it. From a purely aesthetic point of view, my body was better when I was 22, 23. But I didn't enjoy it. I was too busy comparing it to everyone else's.

The body I had at 21, God gave me. The body I have at 31, is one I worked for.
