I am very happy to be signing for the best team in the world and especially proud to be the first Portuguese player to join Manchester United.

He does things I have never seen from any other player and it really is marvellous to watch. It takes a great player to grab the bull by the horns and make things happen, but he has done it repeatedly. He has been even better than people here thought he would be and that's saying something.

Lots of young players have triumphed at United, so why can't it happen to me? I'm not worried I'm young - it's an incentive to do the best I can.

I'm happy of being in Real Madrid ... I've fulfilled my dream.

When I win awards, I think of my father.
