I say good-bye to the part of myself that misses him so much.

I was attempting to write the story of my life. It wasn't so much about plot. It was much more about character.

When first love ends, most people eventually know there will be more to come. They are not through with love. Love is not through with them. It will never be the same as the first, but it will be better in different ways.

Maybe there is hope in the fragments, that what is lost can always be filled in by someone who knows.

And yes, Holden would keep those kids from falling off the cliff, but WHO WOULDN'T? Does she think I would just fold my arms or give them a pat on the back before they sailed headfirst to the ground? We are all catchers, and it's sad that she doesn't see it. Instead she sees the PHONINESS, she deplores the world even after I point out that I am in it.

Things rarely get fixed the way they need to be.
