The mega-strategy of Jesus: make disciples.

As I looked at material and spiritual poverty in the world around me, including approximately 2 billion people who haven't even heard the gospel, I knew that I needed to make some major changes in my life.

Some people think that if they will do certain things, they will somehow earn the favor of God, but this misses the whole point of Christianity and ironically devolves into a me-centered approach.

We can so easily deceive ourselves, mistaking the presence of physical bodies in a crowd for the existence of spiritual life in a community.

We have nothing to fear, because God is sovereign.

Do we believe the reward found in Jesus is worth the risk of following Him?

If our lives do not reflect radical compassion for the poor, there is reason to wonder if Christ is really in us at all
