God actually delights in exalting our inability. He intentionally puts his people in situations where they come face to face with their need for him.

One of my favorite sights is to look across a room packed with people with their Bibles in their laps, studying who God is and what God has said- after midnight.

We have a master who deserves radical sacrifice.

The more Christ fulfills the cravings of our souls, the more he changes our taste capacities from the inside out. The more we walk with him, the more we want him. The more we taste of him, the more we enjoy him. And this transforms how we live and what we live for.

I was immersed in comfortable Christianity. Years ago, I found myself living what seemed like the American church dream - pastoring a large church, living in a large house, and surrounded by all the comforts this world has to offer. But inside I had a sinking feeling that I was missing the point.

God has clearly called and gifted some people in the church to teach his Word formally.

To be a disciple of Jesus is to make disciples of Jesus.
