Patience-the ability to put our desires on hold for a time-is a precious and rare virtue. We want what we want, and we want it now. Therefore, the very idea of patience may seem unpleasant and, at times, bitter. Nevertheless, without patience, we cannot please God; we cannot become perfect. Indeed, patience is a purifying process that refines understanding, deepens happiness, focuses action, and offers hope for peace.
Dieter F. UchtdorfWhen we truly understand what it means to love as Jesus Christ loves us, the confusion clears and our priorities align. Our walk as disciples of Christ becomes more joyful. Our lives take on new meaning. Our relationship with our Heavenly Father becomes more profound. Obedience becomes a joy rather than a burden.
Dieter F. UchtdorfOften the answer to our prayer does not come while we're on our knees, but while we're on our feet serving the Lord and serving those around us.
Dieter F. UchtdorfDon't let fear of failure discourage you. Don't let the voice of critics paralyze you - whether that voice comes from the outside or the inside.
