No matter what the genre, I want to see me and my friends. I want to see reality. I want to see what we're really like. I loved 'Bridesmaids'. I thought it was the most honest portrayal of female friendship in such a long time.

I grew up in a family that was multifaceted, sexually oriented, and pretty much open to everything. And because I was working, my friends were all adults. I had a tough time going to different schools because people knew me from films and I was the fat child who got beaten up every day.

Feeding a child at school is such a simple thing - but it works miracles.

You can't treat a romantic relationship the same way you do a business one, by being bossy. It takes tender, compromising, loving tactics. And that's such a different approach.

We're all going through so much hard, wonderful, amazing . . . it's blessings; it's lessons; it's hardship; it's life. I guess, I don't know what the definition of life is. I now know the meaning of my life, because of my daughters, but mine is one little tiny speck in the universe. It's nice to not be pretending everything is perfect all the time, because it isn't, but I do love happiness and joy and optimism.

I looooove cookbooks. I cook a lot when I'm pregnant.

Families in real life don't tend to resolve things neatly.
