New York. Truly, this is the only city that I feel this energy. Everyone is accepted. This is the first place that I felt open and that I can do everything.

I grew up in different orphanages in Israel, and if they gave me a pair of shoes, a shirt, and pair of pants every year, I was lucky. The rest was handouts, leftover clothes. So I appreciated clothes because I only had one new shirt each year.

It doesn't matter if it's raining and dark. The sun is shining above the clouds.

I got involved in fashion by accident. When I got to New York, my intention was to have enough money to eat and to stay and I don't have to leave. I just loved New York - the energy, the culture, the freedom.
