For 15 years, I've been playing the same character - which is myself - and I'm bored with 'myself'.

It was like a big family, since so many of us brought our kids. We all went surfing. It was so relaxed and easy.

I wish somebody had told me to start using sunscreen when I was younger 'cause I grew up in the '70s... and at that time, I used to coat my body with baby oil. I think it's so important that we learn to be as careful as we possibly can and not only for beauty, but for skincare.

The birth of my sons. The birth of new emotions...what a privilege. What a blessing.

I'm almost 50, so I obviously don't have the same body that I had when I was 20. But I also don't have the same mindset either, when I was wracked with self-consciousness and insecurity. Now I really appreciate my maturity as a woman, my depth of spirit and soul and my understanding of who I am and what's important to me.

For a while I was on the cover of every Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, which was regarded as the pinnacle of success in America.

Focusing on the way I look makes me uncomfortable. I try to focus on the way I feel - I know what makes me feel better about myself. Reading my child a story makes me feel great, doing my hair nicely doesn't.
