My mom lost her dad at a very young age, and has this sort of belief system of, you know, "If there's something that you want to do, if there's something that means a lot to you, do it now."

People aren't stupid. People wanna see good movies, especially comedies. Those by the books comedies, I don't get it. Who likes those? Nobody likes those.

The most heartbreaking things are the ones that are sometimes the truest.

If you mess up the performance on stage, you do it again the next night. You're like alright, you let yourself off the hook, and you've got to go back in there. Whereas, with a film, I would go home and be like, "Well, I've ruined the arc of the character forever. That scene is never going to work. I know because I can never shoot it again." So, it's all miserable, but in different ways.

I have dreams of being a producer, being behind a camera, eating seven tacos for every meal, and making movies that affect people the way they affect me. I don't even need to be in them.

Success to me is my friends and family are healthy and happy and I feel good about myself at the end of the night and I can sleep at night.

My favorite thing about movies is the ending and so all my favorite movies have really great endings.
