I'm an actor, so I love to be degraded!

As an actor, and especially as a young woman, there's so much pressure to look good all the time and it really detracts from what our job really is about, which is portraying a different person.

A lot of my hair and makeup, and everything I pull for inspiration, is [drawn] from old photographs.

I've never had siblings, I didn't grow up in a big family; it was just me and my single mom. And hectic family dysfunction was actually something that I craved.

I love the silhouettes of the '50s that were feminine and womanly without being too revealing. I've always gravitated towards that kind of sense of style and fashion.
