We are advancing, we are responding, we are having major apprehensions of the most wanted, most dangerous criminals, overall, we continue to work toward a Mexico of peace that we all want.

Behind every crime is a story of sadness.

For Mexicans, for Americans, we are all united by 3,000 kilometers of border, with neighboring states - ten neighbors states, and with population over 15 million inhabitants. And their well-being depends on the well-being of their neighbors.

We must fight inequality and poverty if we want to re-establish peace and security. Seven million Mexicans live in extreme poverty, which is why I have launched a crusade against hunger. We also have to improve our educational system and stimulate economic growth.

We`re not in agreement on all topics. I had a conversation with Mr. [Donald] Trump that was open and constructive.

There has maybe been a poor - a misunderstanding or statements that have maybe hurt, unfortunately. The Mexicans have felt offended by what has been said [by Donald Trump]. But I am certain that his genuine interest is in building a relationship that will provide our mutual societies improved wellbeing.

After Iguala, Mexico has to change.
