I'm Latina. I was born with high heels. We crossed border in high heels. We were running from immigration...I can do aerobics in heels.

I was born in platform heels. I actually always fall down when I'm wearing flip-flops.

I'm on the ground, I've been in swing states, I've been talking to the American people, I've been out there speaking on behalf of Obama's record, I've been in the trenches.

It was heartbreaking . . . I think it was disappointing because I had such an identity in being 'Mrs. Parker', and being a wife, and so when that's taken away from you, you [think], 'Who am I?

I grew up with the word "volunteer" as a very powerful word in my family. I was inspired by my mother and by how selfless our family was toward others who didn't have enough.

I am honored to be here as co-chair of President Obama's re-election campaign.

There's no amount of money that would make me decide something for a career.
