I am so grateful to be alive. It's ridiculous to be alive.

One of the most radical things women can do is to love their body.

We have no idea how many women were raped in wars - because no one ever asked. So sometimes when people say statistics have escalated, I wonder if, that is true or are we just hearing about things now that we didn't hear about before.

My commitment originated in my own story and my own relationship to violence.

We have to know people who are outside of our own circle, we have to reach out to people we don't know, we have to protect people who are in tremendous danger. And we also have to not get burned out and let our fear and anxiety and depression sink us. So there's lots of things we have to do right now!

If you are divided from your body, then you are divided from the body of the world.

The only point of having power it seems to me is to empower others. The only point of leadership is to inspire.
