The expression "follow the Brethren" has a broader meaning than some would apply to it. It means not only to agree with the counsel given to the Church by the Brethren, but also to follow their example in appearance and deportment.

We can choose to humble ourselves by conquering enmity toward our brothers and sisters, esteeming them as ourselves, and lifting them as high or higher than we are. . . .

The proud make every man their adversary by pitting their intellects, opinions, works, wealth, talents, or any other worldly measuring device against others.

Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can.

When obedience ceases to be an irritant and becomes our quest, in that moment God will endow us with power.

Now, what of the entertainment that is available to our young people today? Are you being undermined right in your homes through your television, radio, slick magazines, and rock music records?

We can choose to humble ourselves by confessing and forsaking our sins and being born of God.
